Menu revamp

Led the UI/UX development of post-launch features for a live-service product, collaborating closely with Production, Game Design, and Engineering from concept through implementation.

  • Designed accessibility features, including a motion-sickness crosshair.

  • Developed UI/UX for new game modes, including Holdout.

  • Designed scalable customization systems, including Weapon Colors.

  • Redesigned and improved existing experiences, including the Perk Deck menu.

Holdout Game Mode

Designed the UX integration of Holdout, a new endurance-based game mode, into PAYDAY 2’s existing menu and matchmaking experience. The mode challenges four-player co-op teams to defend hostages through nine increasingly difficult assault waves.

  • Integrated Holdout into the existing game-mode and matchmaking structure.

  • Designed around four-player online co-op and escalating difficulty.

  • Supported a weekly rotation with milestone-based rewards.

  • Encouraged replayability through progression, challenge, and recurring rewards.

Weapon Color Customization

I designed a scalable weapon color system that simplified long-term content management while giving players greater freedom to personalize their loadouts. Unlike weapon-specific skins, colors could be applied across the entire weapon catalogue.

  • Created a flexible customization system compatible with any weapon.

  • Supported both unlockable colors and purchasable color packs.

  • Enabled players to preview and inspect colors before purchase.

2D Icons & Assets

Created and maintained 2D assets for an established live-service game, ensuring visual consistency across ongoing content releases.

Produced hundreds of in-game assets supporting both free updates and premium downloadable content, working within the existing visual language while evolving the experience over time.
